Hilary’s passion for photography and design began at an early age when she discovered her love of light. Victor Hugo said it best: To love beauty is to see light.” Her goal is to use light as a tool to capture moments, tell stories, and create beautiful images. The play of light on patterns, colors, shapes, and texture drives her composition. Hilary pours her love into each image she makes, creating unique photos and designs that reflect her distinct style. She has a background in graphic design and landscape architecture, which gives her a keen eye for natural and built environments.
By taking the time to get to know her clients on a personal level, Hilary is able to capture authentic moments and develop an intimate understanding of the unique needs of each project. Her ability to weave herself seamlessly into both small and large affairs, allows her to capture distinct images from a broad scope of events.
In 2007, Hilary received her BA in Community, Environment and Planning (CEP) from University of Washington. She is the Communications Director and Photographer for Seattle Urban Farm Company. Her photos have been published in:
- Seattle Magazine
- Food Grow Right, in Your Backyard,
- Books For Better Living
